EPC & Integrated Project Delivery

One contract, one accountable team, one programme. EPC brings engineering, procurement and construction together so the client manages a single relationship instead of dozens.

Single-point responsibility, end to end.

Under an EPC model, Argentec takes responsibility for coordinating engineering, procuring materials and equipment, and constructing the project to an agreed scope, programme and price.

Integrated delivery reduces the gaps between designers, suppliers and builders. Decisions are made in one team, procurement is aligned with the programme, and the client has a single point of accountability.

  • One point of accountability

A single contract and one team answerable for the outcome.

  • Procurement aligned to programme

Long-lead items ordered against the construction schedule.

  • Fewer interfaces to manage

Engineering, buying and building decisions made together.

Frequently asked questions

How is EPC different from a conventional contract?

In a conventional route, the client appoints designers, suppliers and builders separately and manages the interfaces. In EPC, Argentec takes single-point responsibility for engineering coordination, procurement and construction.

Who does the design under EPC?

Design is developed with appointed design consultants, either engaged by Argentec or novated from the client, depending on the contract structure agreed.

Is the price fixed?

EPC is usually priced on a defined scope and specification. Changes to scope are managed through an agreed change-control process.

What size of project suits EPC?

EPC works best where the client wants a single point of accountability and the scope can be defined clearly at the start. We can advise on whether it suits your project.

How is quality protected when the contractor also procures?

Specifications, approved makes and inspection requirements are agreed in the contract, and inspections are documented for the client's review.
