BIM & Digital Construction

Build it digitally before building it physically. Coordinated models and shared project data reduce clashes, rework and the guesswork between drawings and site.

Solve it on screen, not on site.

Digital tools make construction more predictable. Argentec already runs its projects in a single Microsoft environment and schedules work in Microsoft Project, giving the whole team one shared source of project data.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) extends that approach: architecture, structure and services are coordinated in a 3D model so clashes are found and resolved before materials reach site.

  • Clashes found early

Conflicts between structure and services resolved in the model.

  • Better quantities

Model-based take-offs support estimates and procurement.

  • Shared, current information

Everyone works from the same up-to-date data.

Capabilities & scope of work

  • 07.1

    3D coordination

Combining architectural, structural and MEP models for coordination reviews.

  • 07.2

    Clash detection

Identifying and tracking conflicts between disciplines before construction.

  • 07.3

    Model-based quantities

Quantity take-offs from the model to support cost planning.

  • 07.4

    4D sequencing

Linking the model to the programme to visualise construction stages.

  • 07.5

    Digital project controls

Scheduling in Microsoft Project and shared data in one environment.

  • 07.6

    As-built information

Handover information prepared for facility management.

Typical scope

  • BIM execution plan for the project
  • Model coordination with design consultants
  • Clash detection and resolution tracking
  • Coordinated services drawings from the model
  • Model-based quantity take-off
  • Construction sequencing visuals
  • Digital document and drawing control
  • As-built model and handover data

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Plan

Agree BIM goals, standards and responsibilities in an execution plan.

  2. 02

    Model

    Collect or develop discipline models.

  3. 03

    Coordinate

Run clash detection and coordination reviews.

  4. 04

    Extract

Produce drawings, quantities and sequences from the model.

  5. 05

    Build

    Use coordinated information on site.

  6. 06

    Record

Update the model to as-built for handover.

Project applications

  • Complex commercial buildings

Dense service zones and tight ceiling voids.

  • Healthcare & data centres

Service-heavy facilities where clashes are costly.

  • High-rise residential

Repetitive floors where one fix applies many times.

  • Redevelopment

Tight sites where sequencing needs to be visualised.

Quality, safety & coordination

  • Q

    Quality

Coordination issues are logged, assigned and closed in the model before related work proceeds on site.

  • S

    Safety

Sequencing visuals help plan logistics, crane movements and safe work zones before work begins.

  • C

    Coordination

A single shared data environment for client, consultants and site, building on Argentec's Microsoft-based project systems.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need BIM on our project?

BIM brings the most value on complex, service-heavy or repetitive buildings. For simpler projects, coordinated 2D drawings may be enough. We can advise on the right level.

Who creates the models?

Models are typically produced by the design consultants. Argentec coordinates and uses them for construction; model development responsibilities are agreed in the BIM execution plan.

What software do you use?

Project scheduling runs in Microsoft Project within a single Microsoft environment. Modelling and coordination software is agreed per project with the design team.

Can BIM help with cost estimates?

Yes. Model-based quantities can support estimates and procurement, provided the model is developed to a suitable level of detail.

Will we receive the model at handover?

Where an as-built model is part of the agreed scope, it is updated and handed over with other project records.
